Terms and Conditions

1. To enter Face of Perth, submit an online registration form with a recent full-length and face shot photograph at www.faceofperth.com.au
2. Only entries submitted through registration on www.faceofperth.com.au will be eligible.
3. All completed entries (online entry with recent photograph) must be submitted to us by February 1st 2010. Contest begins November 1st 2009 and ends Sunday February 14th 2010.
4. 50 contestants will be selected from all entries received and announced February 2nd 2010.
5. The 50 entrants chosen will be interviewed and photographed. 32 will be chosen to proceed through to the Heats.
6. Face of Perth is open to all women in Perth or Western Australia who turn 18 in the year 2010 or over.
7. Face of Perth is open to all Perth women regardless of whether they are currently registered with an existing modelling agency.
8. The Organising Committee of the competition will reserve the right to reject any entrants considered unacceptable.
9. Prior to the competition the Organising Committee will review all participants for eligibility.

TIMING
1. Once entries have been received and collated, 50 contestants will be advised for their interview by phone or email on February 2nd 2010. 32 will then be selected for the heats.
2. Entrants must provide a phone number and email address upon which they are contactable at all times.
3. Face of Perth competition consists of an interview on the 2nd/3rd February. Followed by briefing/Launch for top 32 to be held at Box Deli 5th February 2010. Top 32 in 4 heats to be held during the Westend Festival on Thursday 11th of February 2010 between 12 noon and 9pm as part of the opening for the Westend Festival. All 32 chosen contestants must be available from the 1st - 14th February 2010 for fittings, briefs, interviews and parades and final.
4. Once selected, the 32 entrants must be available from February 4th-20th 2010. In order to attend the Briefing/Launch, their Heat, calendar shoot and the Final (where applicable). The heat entrants and finalists will also be required to attend rehearsals, fittings and various functions and promotions during that time. Entrants may be called upon for one-off photo calls as requested. All photos taken during the Westend Festival and Face of Perth Competition remain the rights of Face of Perth.

FORMAT
1. Each of 4 Heats will see 8 contestants compete for the opportunity to go through to the Final.
2. 3 contestants from each Heat will be selected for the Final, making a total of 12 Finalists. During each Heat entrants will be required to perform 3 walks, swim wear, casual wear and evening wear.
3. The Heats will commence from 12:00pm and finish at approximately 9:30pm in the west end of the city on the Thursday 11th 2010. The 12 Finalist will be announced on the night.
4. The Final 12 will be needed to attend judging, parades and fittings on the 12th of february and 13th of february. The final will commence at 7:00pm and finish at approximately 1:30am at Box Deli Saturday February 13th 2010.
5. Each entrant will be required to apply their own make-up and style their own hair during the Heats, and they will be judged accordingly upon their grooming (make up artist, stylist and hair stylist will be on site for assistance during the heats).
JUDGING
1. A panel of judges will view the entrants from interview stage through to Heats and will formulate their opinions.

3. Judges will be assessing the contestants on their walks, personality, grooming, deportment and overall beauty.

SPONSOR REQUIREMENTS
1. Contestants must wear clothing as supplied by official clothing sponsors.
2. Contestants must wear accessories/jewellery as supplied by official sponsor.
3. Contestants will be advised on their hair-styling and make up application throughout the Heats.
4. Contestants will have their hair styled and make-up applied for the Final by associated sponsors.
5. Contestants who wear any non-sponsor items of clothing/accessories may be immediately disqualified.
6. If any clothing items or accessories are damaged when in models care she will take all responsibility for damages.

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NOTIFICATIONS
1. The winners of each Heat will be announced Thursday the 11th February approx at 9pm, all contestants need to be back on stage for announcements of finalist; contestants will be required the whole day..
2. The winner of the overall competition will be announced at the end of the Final on Saturday February 13th 2010.
3. All other place-getters will also be announced at the end of the Final on Saturday February 13th 2010.
4. Finalists will be notified in person by a Face of Perth representative.
5. Finalists and winner will be notified for calendar photo shoot and any other promotional requirements.
6. The judge's decisions are final and binding in all respects.

PRIZES The following prizes will be awarded
1. 1st place-$5,000 worth of cash and prizes
2. 2nd place- $1,000 worth of prizes
3. Prize(s) are not transferable.
4. Taxes are the sole responsibility of each winner. Sponsor shall have all rights to copy, edit, broadcast, publish and use, in whole or in part, any image, copyrighted or copyrightable materials, in any manner without further compensation (except where prohibited by law).
5. Prizes must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash.
6. All 12 final participants will be featured in the 2010 Face of Perth calendar.
7. By entering, you agree to participate in this calendar and will be available for the required fittings and photo shoots between the dates February 1st- 20th 2010. The calendar launch is scheduled will be in Early April and all finalist must attend.
8. 12 finalists receive a complimentary calendar at the launch.
9. The 12 finalists will also be required to attend various functions/rehearsals and fittings from February 11th-20th 2010.
10. Entrants may be called upon for one-off photo calls as requested.
11. Each of the non-successful participants throughout the competition will be invited to attend the Final, to be held Saturday 13th 2010.

DISCLAIMERS
1. By submitting an entry form by the required date, the participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and conditions.
2. Entry constitutes permission to use winners' names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation (except where prohibited by law).
3. All photographs and images taken during the course of the competition remain the property of Face of Perth and will be used at their discretion for publicity and promotional purposes.
4. Event organisers and sponsors shall have no liability and shall be released and held harmless and indemnified by participant(s) for any damage, loss or liability to person or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of participant's participation in this contest and/or by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize.
5. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration.
6. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be honoured. Event organisers and sponsors, their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, misrouted or postage due entries/mail.
7. Entries become the property of the "Face of Perth" and will not be returned.
8. The Face of Perth Winner remains contracted to Face of Perth from February 14th, 2010 through to February 14th 2011 for publicity and promotional purposes pertaining to Face of Perth.
9. Face of Perth will have the choice to become mother agent for any entrant not signed with an agency.
